The Circus
When most people think of the circus, one tends to think of clowns and strongmen - these performers are both, but first and foremost they are highly-trained acrobats.

Raoul Silva
In the time leading up to the Handover, Raoul Silva began acting beyond his professional duties as an agent, hacking into Chinese Intelligence without authorization. With the Chinese on to him, M turned him over to them in exchange for six other previously captured agents and a peaceful transfer of sovereignty. For the next five months, he was brutally tortured for information by a “sadistic woman without mercy who delighted in his suffering”, but he refused to divulge any state secrets. And what was done sounds like something out of a horror film, involving electric chairs, water torture – including waterboarding, sleep deprivation, and, being chained by his wrists from the ceiling for hours while being beaten by Mei, his sadistic female interrogator.

The Trick

The Escapologist
I stepped out of the front door of the small seafront hotel and into a dark, miserable evening. A light rain hung in the air as I pulled my coat collar up and headed towards the town centre. After having spent a boring day at a conference that my employers had sent me on alone, I now had the evening to fill so I decided to venture out and investigate the limited entertainment on offer in the town.

Stress Positions
While most recruits dreaded the infamous stress positions test, Sylvie secretly looked forward to it.

Pole
Jessica leaned against the cold steel pole. The cold metal caressed her muscular back. Her clothes lay in a pile beside her. Slowly, she slid down the pole. It glided smoothly between her shoulder blades and buttocks. Finally she was on the floor. This was something she had wanted to try for ages. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and drew her long supple legs up behind her head. She folded them behind her neck, crossing them around the pole. Then she reached for the handcuffs.
